A gap year (taking a year out/ a year off/ ...)  between school or college and higher education or a job can be a very exciting, challenging and valuable opportunity. You can be a volonteer abroad, do some work experience to build up your skills, discover new cultures...

Taking a gap year out can look good on a CV. Some employers may appreciate that you have spent some time overseas (to improve a language, your education, learn new skills, share your knowledge...)

Le journal officiel du 20/01/10 fixe l'accès aux concours suivants au diplôme de référence du Master (extraits)
"-  externes et aux concours externes spéciaux,  aux seconds concours internes et aux seconds concours internes spéciaux de recrutement de professeurs des écoles; aux concours externes et internes de l’agrégation, du certificat d’aptitude au professorat du second degré (CAPES), du certificat d’aptitude au professorat de l’enseignement  technique (CAPET), du certificat d’aptitude au professorat de l’enseignement professionnel (CAPLP),  du certificat d’aptitude au professorat d’éducation physique et sportive (CAPEPS) et du certificat  d’aptitude aux fonctions de conseiller principal d’éducation (CACPE)."

Le Journal Officiel du 06 janvier 2010 a fait paraître (extraits) l' "Arrêté du 28 décembre 2009 fixant les modalités d'organisation du concours externe, du concours externe spécial, du second concours interne, du second concours interne spécial et du troisième concours de recrutement de professeurs des écoles"

Les dispositions du présent arrêté prennent effet à compter de la session de l'année 2011 des concours.

Epreuves d'admissibilité :  Deux groupes d'épreuves de quatre heures chacun, en français et histoire géographie et instruction civique et morale, d'une part, et en mathématiques et sciences expérimentales et technologie, d'autre part.

Epreuves d'admission: Présentation de la préparation d'une séquence d'enseignement en mathématiques et interrogation, au choix du candidat, sur les arts visuels, la musique ou l'éducation physique et sportive (Barème de la course de 1 500 mètres chronométrée )
