Ø The Valentine’s Day massacre took place on February 14 2008 at NIU (Northern Illinois University). A former student killed five students and injured 15 others, he fired more than 50 shots into a crowd of 150 people before turning the gun on himself. This shooting was the fourth such incident on a US campus within one week.
Ø On April 16 2007, a gunman killed 32 people and injured 25 others on the campus of Virginia Tech before killing himself.
Ø The Columbine High School massacre occurred on Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado. Two students embarked killed 12 students and a teacher, as well as wounded 23 others, before committing suicide.
In 2004, the FDA ( Food and Drug Administration) reported the results involving 11 antidepressants and almost 4500 adolescents and concluded that antidepressants double the risk of suicidal behaviour in young adults.

It has promoted the shooting sports among American youth’s ( rifle clubs at all major colleges, boy scout of America, the American legion...) since 1903 and Hunter Education courses are taught by State Fish and Game Departments (in 43 states + some Canadian Provinces).It is the first firearms Education Organization with its 3 million members and it is widely recognised as a major political force as America’s foremost defender of the second Amendment rights.
